2008 Off Road Expo Show
I think it’s great to see the aftermarket industry embrace the Jeep JK Wranglers as much as it has and continue to push the envelope of what it can be made to do.

Inspired by the challenge, JKS Manufacturing has just released a complete set of variable-length upper and lower control arms for Wrangler JK models. Considered the performance benchmark by Jeep owners around the world, JKS Adjustable Control Arms are well known for utilizing the finest materials and most reliable designs. While other control arms begin to wear out within months of being installed, JKS arms often outlast the vehicle.
Recently, I have been reading a lot of posts over on JK-Forum.com regarding steering stabilizers and I have to say that I find all the misinformation regarding them or the need for them to be quite troubling.

Back in December of last year, a member of JK-Forum.com started a thread that showed photos of him doing a run up Bronco Peak in his new Jeep JK Wrangler 2-Door Sahara. At the time, he was riding on little more than a budget boost and 33″ tires and although he was able to make it through with some effort, it was his belief that it simply couldn’t be done in a 4-Door Unlimited. Of course, upon hearing this, I knew Bronco Peak was a run that I would have to do in my Rubicon Unlimited and do as soon as I could. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be until last weekend that I would finally get my chance but I am glad that I finally did.
For those of you looking for a new hawse fairlead for your synthetic winch line and would like to have one that’ll add a little style to your Jeep, you’ll be glad to know that Off Road Evolution now has what you want. Made out of billet 6061 aluminum, the new Off Road Evolution Hawse Fairleads are CAD drawn, CNC machined, hand polished to a mirror like finish, come with stainless steel hardware, are made here in the U.S.A. and are available for only $109.95.
If you’re riding around on 35″ tires or bigger and love to play hard on them, axle strenght is something you should keep in mind and I’m not just talking about the shafts here. What a lot of us have been seeing is that over time, the small front axle C’s start to bend back and this will give your wheels what essentially is more camber. Of course, this added camber not only looks incorrect, it will cause uneven tire wear and will effect the way your Jeep handles. So, what should one do to prevent this from occuring? Pick up a set of Off Road Evolution EVO C2 Front Axle Gussest! The EVO C2 gussets are affordable and can easily be welded on to your JK’s front axle by any qualified welder. Installed, they will be all that you need to prevent the bending of your axle C’s and as an added bonus, they’ll even make your axle look a hell of a lot meaner too.
While a true ‘stubby’ or ‘shorty’ front winch bumper is something that many people would love to have on their Jeep JK Wrangler, the drawbacks of what to do with the factory fog lights has been enough of a deterrent to get most looking at other alternatives. Specifically, mounting a winch down between the frame rails on most aftermarket stubby front bumpers would require you to remove the factory fog lights or force you to buy a wider ‘mid-width’ style bumper so that you could relocate the lights to the outside of the frame rails. However, with the introduction of the new and stylishly designed LoD Signature Series JK Shorty Front Winch Bumper, you can now have the bumper you really want and keep your fog lights too. |
The all new Tuffy Jeep JK Wrangler Multi Point Tie Down Rails and Modular Gear Anchors are made out of 11 gauge (1/8) thick steel and are designed to mount on top of most Tuffy drawers or any solid mounting surface.
