Project-JK Sidewinder & Bronco Peak Trail Run
Back in December of last year, a member of JK-Forum.com started a thread that showed photos of him doing a run up Bronco Peak in his new Jeep JK Wrangler 2-Door Sahara. At the time, he was riding on little more than a budget boost and 33″ tires and although he was able to make it through with some effort, it was his belief that it simply couldn’t be done in a 4-Door Unlimited. Of course, upon hearing this, I knew Bronco Peak was a run that I would have to do in my Rubicon Unlimited and do as soon as I could. If you’re riding around on 35″ tires or bigger and love to play hard on them, axle strenght is something you should keep in mind and I’m not just talking about the shafts here. What a lot of us have been seeing is that over time, the small front axle C’s start to bend back and this will give your wheels what essentially is more camber. Of course, this added camber not only looks incorrect, it will cause uneven tire wear and will effect the way your Jeep handles. So, what should one do to prevent this from occuring?
