PUREJEEP Jeep JK Wrangler Steel Tube Fender Teaser

July 24, 2007 wayoflife 37

If there’s been one mod for my Jeep JK Wrangler that I’ve just been dying to get my hands on, it would have to be a really nice set of steel tube fenders. Unfortunately, that day isn’t here just yet but after a long conversation that I had with PUREJEEP today, I can tell you that a production set has been completed and is currently installed on the Off Road Evolution JK.

After spending almost three weeks up in Lake Tahoe, it was finally time for us pack up our things and make our way back home to Southern California. But, before we did, one more run for the road was definitely in order and we decided to make it a run up the Slickrock Trail.

Summer Sierra Trek 2007

July 16, 2007 wayoflife 3

With a total of only four Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited’s along for the ride, I can honestly say that the very first Project-JK run up into the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains was by far one of the most enjoyable runs we’ve done to date.

Deer Valley Trail

Even though I’ve been up in Lake Tahoe for a little over a week now, I’ve unfortunately had to bring work up with me and, as you can guess, I’ve been stuck doing as much almost everyday since getting here. Need I say, this run up the Deer Valley Trail was the first one we’ve been able to squeeze into our crazy busy schedule and man, am I ever glad we did.

Project-JK Lockwood Miller Jeep Trail Run 06-16-07

June 24, 2007 wayoflife 6

With 14 Jeep JK Wranglers (about a 50/50 split between 2-doors and 4-doors), 3 TJ Wranglers and even a Mitsubishi Montero Sport along for the ride, this Project-JK run up Lockwood Creek Miller Jeep Trail was by far the biggest turnout we’ve had for an outting to date. And, without a doubt, it was by far one of the best ones we’ve had as well.

Affordable Jeep JK Wrangler Grab Handles

With all the improvements and additions that have been designed into the all new Jeep JK Wrangler, I really am surprised that a decent set of overhead grab handles weren’t included in the design. For the most part, this is no big deal as there are plenty of good aftermarket solutions for the front passengers like the velcro grab handles that MasterCraft makes but with the sound bar being located where it is, finding a good solution for the rear has been a bit tougher.
