VIDEO : Project-JK Rodriguez Canyon Jeep Trail

November 21, 2010 wayoflife 4

Rodriguez Canyon (sometimes referred to as the Rodriguez Spur Truck Trail) is an Jeep trail that is located in San Diego County, crosses through Anza Borrego State Park and is near the resort town of Banner, CA. Cutting between Chariot and Granite Mountain, Rodriguez Canyon parallels the more well known Oriflamme Canyon Trail and is a part of a network of trails that were established to service the many mines in the Julian area including the Desert Queen and Pandora Mine. While this trail is for the most part very easy and one that can be done in any 4WD SUV, there is a short spur near the Pandora Mine that is very technical and because of it, we affectionately called this section of trail, “Pandora’s Box.

Full-Traction JK Long Arm Suspension Systems
Available in 3.0″, 4.0″ & 6.0″

October 12, 2010 wayoflife 2

Our competition hates this system, but your Jeep JK Wrangler will love it. Our new 3″- 4″- 6″ long arm systems are sold as a complete replacement suspension. Able to handle tires up to 37″ tall, it utilizes a 4-link front axle mounting configuration for a true and correct caster curve, and improved anti-dive geometry throughout the entire range of linear wheel travel – just like the factory does it. Other systems using radius arms, medium length arms called “long arms” and the rest, can’t match its performance.

RUBICON : A Legendary Jeep Trail
& Off-Road Adventure – COMPLETE VIDEO SERIES

October 3, 2010 wayoflife 28

Crossing through the El Dorado National Forest up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Rubicon is truly one of the most beautiful trails I’ve been on bar none. Of course, its unrelenting 22 miles of boulders that need to be crawled, steep ledges that need to be climbed, narrow trees that need to be squeezed between, deep muddy water crossings that need to be forded and tippy off camber terrain that needs to be carefully negotiated is ultimately what makes the Rubicon Trail so legendary and famous around the world.

September 30, 2010 wayoflife 43

I can’t count how many times we’ve come off the trail and heard someone on the CB yell out that they’ve got death wobble. After pulling over and giving things a quick look to make sure nothing is broken, I have the driver help me perform this simple test.
