Located near the town of Lucerne, CA, the Bullfrog Jeep Trail is one of the newest additions to the Johnson Valley area and one of the most scenic. Although it is one of the easiest trails in the valley, it is still rated “difficult and depending on the lines you take, it really is all that and more.

While it had always been our plan to buy and build up another Jeep JK Wrangler, we weren’t expecting to pick one up until the 2010’s came out. The hope was that there would be some kind of significant change to the JK’s engine or at bare minimum, an introduction of a new color that just blew us away. Of course, thanks to the current status of Chrysler, the prospects of any real changes worth waiting for simply aren’t there (or so my sources say) and the only new color to be expected was the new Surf Blue and I wasn’t really feeling it. Needless to say, with dealers needing to move product and great incentives being offered up by Chrysler, we figured that now was as good a time to buy as any. And, as luck would have it, we found just what we were looking for yesterday and brought home the newest member of our family – a brand new, Sunburst Orange 2009 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited X.
If you’ve got a lifted Jeep JK Wrangler with a set of adjustable lower control arms, you know how hard it can be to keep the jam nuts to stay on tight and in place. Thanks to its size, finding a wrench large enough to fit around them can be difficult and with things like your control arms mounts in the way, this can be almost impossible to do especially when you’re on you’re on the ground and on your back and with very little room to work with. Fortunately for us, Off Road Evolution has just released an incredible patent pending solution to this annoying problem and it is the all new EVO LINX Lock.
If you’re looking to have fun in the sun, do a little camping, wheel your Jeep, eat some great food, get a chance to win cool prizes and of course, meets tons of great people, you had better make sure to join us at the Hungry Valley OHV Area on Saturday, June 27th for the Project-JK West Coast Mega Meet 2009!!

With the 3rd Annual Project-JK Last Chance Canyon Newbie Run coming up in just a few weeks, I thought it would be a good idea to give folks a preview of what they can expect to see and the kind of fun they will have. Needless to say, this is a short YouTube video that we put together from our 2nd Annual Run that we did last year.
With summer around the corner, everyone is going to want to take their top and doors off of their Jeep and with that comes the question that all Jeepers have and that’s, what do I do about my mirrors. In addition to being extremely helpful, having a good mirror bracket solutions is necessary for Jeep JK Wrangler owners who want to operate their vehicles without doors and still remain legal. Fortunately for us, Die-Tech Off-road has just release an evolutionary set of Jeep JK Wrangler doorless mirror brackets that really are a first of its kind
As many Jeep JK Wrangler owners have found, the EVAP or evaporator canister is yet another vulnerable part under your rig that really could use some protection. Countless people have crushed or torn off this small plastic box while simply doing moderate or even sometimes light off-roading and unfortuantely, it is a critical component of your Jeep’s emissions system.
