Difficulty Releasing Soft Top Plastic Edge Retainers From B-Pillar Area Of Door Frame

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves trimming material from a section of the plastic retainer, used to secure the edges of the soft top to the door frame, in the immediate area of the B-Pillar.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience difficulty when attempting to lower/remove the 4 door soft top. The customer may not be able to easily release/remove the soft top plastic edge retainers at the rail on top of the door frame in the immediate area of the B-Pillar.

  1. no crap it is also difficult to put back on, and i already broke a small piece of the crappy underlay while installing it. What happened to the buttons?

  2. My top just tore directly behind said plastic tab… the dealer said they wouldn`t replace the top because their regional manager told them if it was ripped chrysler wouldn`t reimburse them.
    I called chrysler`s customer care (uncare?) and they were supposed to get back to me last friday.
    Heeeeeeeeere we go.
