If there’s one thing I’ve been hearing a lot of Jeep JK Wrangler owners wanting, it would have to be a programmer that would allow them to optimize the performance of their 3.8L V6 engine and if at all possible, a way to calibrate their speedometer/odometer to match a set of bigger tires that they’ve just installed as well. And, thanks to Hypertech, we now have that and more with the release of their MAX Energy Power Programmer specifically made for the Jeep JK Wrangler.
In addtion to being able to tune your Jeep JK Wrangler’s 3.8L engine for maximum horsepower and torque, the Hypertech MAX Energy Power Programmer will also help improve fuel economy and allow you to do the following:
• Read, Display and Clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s)
• Adjust Engine RPM Rev Limiter
• Adjust Top Speed Limiter to Match
• Speed Rated Tires
• Speedometer and Odometer Correction for Tire Sizes for 22.5″-44″
• Speedometer and Odometer Correction for Rear Axle Gear Ratios 2.82:1-5.13:1
• Adjustable Cooling Fan On/Off Temperature Settings
Legal in all 50 States, the Hypertech MAX Energy Power Programmer is by far the most powerful tuning device that you can buy for your Jeep JK Wrangler.
For more information about the MAX Energy Power Programmer, please click here to see Hypertech’s official flyer information sheet or visit their website at www.hypertech.com. And, if you would like to purchase one of these programmers for your Jeep JK Wrangler today, you can purchase it at Northridge4x4.

Okay, I went to their site, no info for my ’08 Jeep; lots of info if I own a GM or Ford. If they’re making one then great; but let’s not start advertising until the company can give us more info on what it’ll do, it’s impact, testing (actual figures), and lastly: PRICE. After all, what is the difference in buying this or the Unichip if they cost the same?
They are selling for $379 here:
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddetail.php?prod=HYPERTECH-MAX
Also, they are shipping now and people are getting them already. As far as a Unichip goes, they aren’t even available for the JK at this point and time and so far as I know, there is no word if they will ever be available for the JK.
I have got both the hyperttech programmer and the unichip, I installed the unichip today and honestly I didn’t think it was worth the money, not much of power gain!
Now the question, when I reprogram the ecu via the hypertech should I fist disconnect and remove the unichip and or jet chipset (for those having them on) before programming with the hypertech??
Please CAN SOMEONE HELP . I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE NEW Jeep BUT ONE THING I EXTREMLY HATE IS THE THROTLE, WHEN YOU PRESS THE GASS PEDLE THE CAR DOESNT f*****g RESPOND FAST BUT HAS A DELAIY IN RPM UP AND WHEN YOU TAKE YOU FOOT OFF THE GAS PADDLE IT GOES DOWN SLOWLY HATE IT. IS THEIR A WAY I COULD CHANGE IT VIA PROGRAMMING OR SOME WAY ELSE. THANKS (DAMN THOSE ELECTRONIC THROTLES)
Such a waste of money!
I just plugged it in after updating every single thing I can update and it still does not work
I get a D6 code which means the software is not up to date and I will get an email once they have an update for my 2008 JK such a waste I hate it
Really?? I just used one on my JK and didn’t have a problem at all.
well do u see a diferance in speed and fuel?
i definitly noticed an increase in hp and speed and found my 2nd gear to work like it should have from the factory. as far as fuel goes, it’s hard to say as my JK is so highly modified now.
