Is it red? Is it orange? Or, is it somewhere in between with a little something else thrown into the mix? Honestly, I have no idea but, one of the ‘hot’ new colors for 2013 is definitely bright and it’s called Rock Lobster.
Turtle Ridge on Drummond Island, Michigan was one of the last off road parks we got to play in during the 2012 Off Road Evolution JK-Experience, presented by Nitto and, unlike much of what we had been playing in all week, this place had rocky ledges you could climb.
With this knowledge in hand, Mel Wade of Off Road Evolution asked us to join him on the Rubicon Trail to give this iconic obstacle, one final run. And, on Saturday, September 28, 2012, that’s exactly what he did, completely unassisted and in the very same 4-door Jeep JK Wrangler that he used to conquer it 3 years before. In this short video, you will get to see raw footage of his run with limited edits and no music so that you can the full experience of just how challenging the Little Sluice really was.
Redbird in Indiana was the first off road park we got to play in during the 2012 Off Road Evolution JK-Experience, presented by Nitto and, as luck would have it, Hurricane Isaac just got done dumping 6� of rain before we got there.

Back in May, our good friends Greg and Dave from Powerline Patrol, invited Mel of Off Road Evolution, Cindy and I out to the Arizona desert to run a few of the trails they have out in the Florence Junction area.

Swamp Lake is a beautiful 13 mile difficult rated trail located deep in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and near to the town of Shaver Lake, California. Because of it’s remote location and all the snow they normally get up there, it’s also a trail that has a limited window upon which it can be run.
Without a doubt, one of the easiest mods that just about anyone can do to their Jeep JK Wrangler, even those without ANY mechanical experience, is to upgrade their factory air cleaner with a cold air intake system. And, by far, one of the best cold air intake systems available on the market today is made by AIRAID.
