Of all the things that I absolutely love about the brand new 2007 Jeep JK Wrangler, I’d have to say that the plastic bumpers adorning the front and rear of it certainly aren’t one of them. Fortunately, there are plenty of aftermarket manufacturers who feel the same way as I do and one such company, Expedition One, is already in the final stages of developing their answer to real front end protection.
Using state of the art CAD programming, the Expedition One Trail Series Front Bumper has been designed to provide maximum rock protection and clearance but without sacrificing style. Some of the features you can expect to see on the final product are 3/16″ sheet steel construction, 1″ thick shackle mounts, integrated winch mount, a 2″ O.D. center hoop, two integrated light ports and two mounts on top of the bumper that will fit two 6″ round lights under the center hoop.
