Although PUREJEEP originally released a version of these awesome new body mounted rocker guards back in October of last year and actually debuted at SEMA 2006, a lot of improvements were made to them since then and for the better I should add. Well, last week I had the priviledge of assisting PUREJEEP with the final test fitting of these rocker guards on Mark’s (aka – Rubimon) 2-door Rubicon and after having had a chance to give them a thorough once over, see how these things were built, how they got installed and how they looked once all was said and done, I can honestly say that they are definitely one of the very best rocker guards that have been designed for a 2-door Jeep JK Wrangler to date. Part Number PJ3000PUREJEEP, your new choice for Jeep® parts and accessories has released a formed Crawler Rocker Guard for the 2-door Jeep Wrangler JK. The PJ3000 Crawler Rocker Guards are laser cut from 3/16 steel plate and precision formed. The Crawler Rocker Guards protect the side of your JK from just below the bottom door hinge, all the way around the pinch weld and under the body. any info on the lead time for 4 door models?
The 4-door version is in the final stages of developed now and it is scheduled to make it public debuted at the Off Road Expo in October.

Those look real nice. I can see a problem with wheeling in mud though.. once you get some mud and dirt on the top there, you are pushing it out of the way when you open the door. They need to make the step an inch lower in my opinion.
Those look really functional and tough. One question, is there anything between the metal and the body on the upright sections in front of and behind the door?

Hi Jared, that something is silicon sealant and it is applied along the edges prior to installation in order to keep mud and sand from getting in between the two.

The sliders look well engineered. My concern is that a really hard hit to the step my bend the slider in turn bending the body or lower tub that they are bolted to.
Trust me, if you were to see how these things get bolted in, you would know that this is a very unlikely scenario. 🙂
What it the back order time right now, is production keeping up with the orders?
So far as I know, they are pretty much all caught up right now.
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
