Happy Birthday – Year #1

Well, it’s been one year to the day since Project-JK.com officially went online and who would have thought that it, as well as its companion bulletin board, JK-Forum.com and free photo hosting service, MY.Project-JK.com, would have grown into what they have become today and in such a short amount of time!  But then, I think our rapid growth is truly a direct reflection of how popular this amazing vehicle really is and will be over the next 10 years.

Since its humble beginings, Project-JK.com alone has rapidly grown to the point where our Awstats statistics software show us seeing over 77,000 visits in July of 2007 (2,600 a day average), over 30,000 of which were ‘unique’ visits and all of which who collectively uses over 230 GB of bandwidth a month reading our exclusive press releases, using our extensive collection of detailed installation write-ups and of course, checking out our gallery which contains thousands of photos and videos from all the trail events and shows that we attend.  Now, JK-Forum.com is an entirely different animal and one that has also grown with amazing speed to the point where it saw over 113,000 visits in July of 2007 (4,100 a day average), over 22,000 of which were ‘unique’ visits and now boasts a membership of over 5,100 people (bots and spam users are promptly deleted as soon as they are found), all of which who collectively uses over 56 GB of bandwidth a month helping people out, making new friends and building a wonderful community of Jeepers and one that we are proud to be a part of.

Without a doubt, my wife and I started Project-JK.com and its sister sites because of our passion for Jeeps, the Jeep way of life and our absolute excitement of the all new Jeep JK Wrangler.   And, thanks to the generous help and financial support of our sponsors, we have been able to keep them up on-line and on a dedicated server to insure reliable access 24 hours a day.  However, I’d have to say that it really is because of you, all the great Jeepers that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and wheeling with over the past year that has made Project-JK.com what it is today.  So to you, I say thank you and, Happy Birthday!!

  1. I purchased my 4door rubicon last November. After having an 04 with two kids, I am truly pleased with the new vehicle. I have to say, I surf the net often drooling over new products available for my Rubi and you guys alway beat everyone to the punch with new product released and info. Keep up the good work and if you ever have the chance….come to Colorado to check out the local trails. There aren’t a whole lot of modified JK’s out here yet and I bet you would make quite an impression.
