I have had this lift for 3-4 years and have done a lot of wheeling with no problems. However, the front adjustable track bar is horrible…it squeaks and will not stop. Ultimately I bought a Teraflex HD track bar and the whole system works great.
Hey Darin,
Please re-read the press release.
We have changed the design of the track bars and they now use torsion rubber. This makes the track bar maintenance and noise free.
the older generation designed used vection bushings that required grease to keep them quite.
If I install this, will re-gearing really be necessary? I’m planning on taking my Rubicon’s stock tires and changing them out for some goodyear duratrac 315 70 17 and keeping the stock rims. If I make this upgrade how much of a power drain will I see? BTW, it is an automatic.
being that you have a rubicon with 4.10 gears, i think you will find the power loss to not be as bad as you’d think – SO LONG AS you make sure to recalibrate your speedometer. this will help your shift points to be correct. i’ve run 35’s with 3.73 and found it to be okay. with the addition of a superchips, it’s even better if not a lot like stock.
That’s great to hear….don’t have the extra grand to do the re-gearing.
in all fairness, you “may” still find that you want to regear but, i would wait until after you’ve tried the above before making that decisions.
