Approximately 60 miles east of Barstow, there is a nice wide valley situated between the Cady and Bristol Mountains. Within this valley, there lies nice long playa known as the Broadwell Dry Lake that measures approximately 4 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. On January 22, 2011, 35 Jeep JK Wranglers from JK-Forum.com came out to visit this ancient lake bed and for kicks, took some time out to rocket across it. With dust plumes streaming from our tires like contrails bleeding from the wings of jet aircraft, the scene was absolutely surreal and one to remember. I know this may seem silly to some but, I hope you enjoy this short film highlighting the fun we had.
