For those of you who’ve been following my recent fight with Chrysler regarding fuel spraying out of the filler port during re-fueling and getting it fixed under warranty, I’m happy to announce that I have finally WON!! Just a few minutes ago, I got a call from Scott, a case manager over at the Chrysler Customer Assistant Center and from what I was told, my dealership will be given the green light to have the warranty work performed. While I am happy to hear that I’ve won yet another battle with Chrysler, I will say that I am still very frustrated that I had to fight them at all.
If there’s anyone at Chrysler reading this now, you guys really need to re-examine how you handle warranty claims and how your dealerships are allowed to flag a vehicle and effectively void its entire warranty over a single issue. The fact that dealerships can do this without warning and without any accountability is just wrong.
