2007 Moab Easter Jeep Safari Day 2
Primedia Event & Metal Masher Trail Run

Moab Easter Jeep Safari
Our plan for day two of our 2007 Moab Easter Jeep Safari was to hook up with Dave (aka – JK-Forum moderator papabear) bright and early in the morning and then run Metal Masher. But, as things always seem to change on the fly around here, we ended up making a stop over at the Primedia Event at Area BFE first and man, am I ever glad that I did. As luck would have it, this years event was three times bigger than the year before and as you can imagine, there were also a ton of hooked up JK’s there wearing a bunch of new products and many of which were making their first public appearance. And, rather than boring you with a bunch of words on a screen that describe what I saw, I did you the favor of taking a ton of photos so that you can see them all for yourself. As much as a big part of me really wanted to join the Primedia run and take shots of all the new JK’s on the trail, we decided to stick to our original plan and leave to run Metal Masher. For one, we had already run Green Day Trail the day before and for two, there were just way too many rigs going on the run and god only knows when you have this many people going, much of the run ends up with you doing a lot of sitting around. Besides, I have no doubts that this event will be heavily covered by Primedia and great shots can be found in a future issue of one of your favorite 4×4 magazines.

With work out of the way, it was time for us to have some real fun! Although I have been to Moab before, I still have yet to even scratch the surface when it comes to all the awesome trails this great place has to offer. Need I say, this was my first time running Metal Masher and admittedly, I’m always a bit leary about running a “difficult” rated trail that I’ve never been on before especially when it’s in a brand new vehicle with little to no parts available for it in the event of a break. But, after running it, I can tell you that my concerns were completely unwarranted as very little was able to stand in the way of our Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited.

  1. Any info on the white foor door jk with the mastercraft/avaanche engineering stickers? I heart those fender flares! And the Rear bumper/carrier on the polyperformance Jeep?

    Thanks,
