PUREJEEP Jeep JK Wrangler
2-Door Formed Crawler Rocker Guards

Although PUREJEEP originally released a version of these awesome new body mounted rocker guards back in October of last year and actually debuted at SEMA 2006, a lot of improvements were made to them since then and for the better I should add.  Now, how could I make a statement like this you might ask?  Well, last week I had the priviledge of assisting PUREJEEP with the final test fitting of these rocker guards on Mark’s (aka - Rubimon) 2-door Rubicon and after having had a chance to give them a thorough once over, see how these things were built, how they got installed and how they looked once all was said and done, I can honestly say that they are definitely one of the very best rocker guards that have been designed for a 2-door Jeep JK Wrangler to date.  And, I should also point out that they are ones that are going into production now and will be available for you to purchase very soon.  In fact, below is the official press release that I just got from PUREJEEP:

Those look real nice. I can see a problem with wheeling in mud though.. once you get some mud and dirt on the top there, you are pushing it out of the way when you open the door. They need to make the step an inch lower in my opinion.

Those look really functional and tough. One question, is there anything between the metal and the body on the upright sections in front of and behind the door?

in that picture it almost looks like there is something between the metal and the body, which would be smart

Hi Jared, that something is silicon sealant and it is applied along the edges prior to installation in order to keep mud and sand from getting in between the two.

The sliders look well engineered. My concern is that a really hard hit to the step my bend the slider in turn bending the body or lower tub that they are bolted to.

Trust me, if you were to see how these things get bolted in, you would know that this is a very unlikely scenario. :)
