This gallery contains photos from our recent run on the Deer Valley Trail near Lake Tahoe, CA. Although it is only 6.6 miles long, it does have 2 water crossings (one of which is quite deep) and is peppered with rock gardens technical enough to give this trail a Difficult rating. The scenery on this trail is beautiful but if you decided to run it, make sure to bring plenty of DEET as the mosquitos will eat you alive.
