Project-JK Mojave Desert Trek 01-19-08

On this trip, we explored the areas of the Mojave Desert south of highway 40. Along the way, we traversed sections of the historic Route 66, made a stop in Ludlow, visited the Amboy Crater, made our way across the Sunflower Trail, camped at the Lost Arch Inn located in the Turtle Mountain Wilderness, hiked up to Mohawk Springs and visited Fort Piute located on the eastern edge of the Old Mojave Trail.
