Jeep JK Resources

When we placed our order for a brand new Stone White 2007 Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited back on July 10, 2006, it was done with the complete knowledge and understanding that it may take some time to get. Having already gone through a similar experience back when we purchased our TJ some seven year before, we were quite prepared to do some waiting… but, what we didn’t realize at the time was just how much waiting we would really have to do.

With everything from a sway bar disconnect motor that didn’t like water to a newly designed BFGoodrich M/T KM tire that had a difficult time balancing and then a shortage of Freedom Tops for the Unlimited, it would seem that ordering an Unlimited in a Rubicon package was the single best way one could ensure that you wouldn’t get your new JK before the end of the year. In fact, when all was said and done, over six months would have passed before we would be able to take possession of our new JK on January 29, 2007. Was it worth the wait? You betcha!! We absolutely love this new Jeep and in some ways, I think the ridiculously long wait only made getting it that much sweeter. In fact, as some of you may know, we loved our JK so much that we ended up selling our TJ and bought a 2009 Sunburst Orange Jeep JK Unlimited X to replace it.

Below you will find links to useful information regarding the Jeep JK Wrangler.

  1. Is undercoating really necessary? Does it have any other benefits other than corrosion protection?

  2. Congrats Scott!!

As for the leaking issues – I think I found a reasonable way to deal with them – upon getting the vehicle home – remove the hardtop – keep the softop in its protective pouch – grab some sunscreen – and enjoy.

    I haven’t seen a leak yet!

  3. hi jimmy, big noise reduction as well. The corrosion was a big deal to me since I have a 95 jeep that has quite a bit of corrosion and rust in varous areas. Just different mud, puddles, streams have attacked my jeep. I also live in sierra mtns so all winter we have either sand or different melting materials spread by snow plows. One day of running on a road that has been salted is enough. During winter I wash off daily and still my old jeep has been attacked. good luck

I placed my order for a Rubicon Unlimited with MyGig back in January. My dealer doesn’t sound very positive about me getting my Rubi any time soon. In fact he thinks it could be some time in the fall. If that is the case then I could just wait and get the 2008. But then again it may arrive in 2009 according to the speed they are producing orders right now. I live in Nunavut, Canada and if any other Canadians have heard about or recieved their Jeep orders could you let me know.

    Thanks! (fingers crossed)

I ordered mine Nov 15th 2006 and live by Windsor Ontario. I just picked mine up this past Wednesday, 140 days after ordering. It was worth the wait but it sure seemed like an eternity. There are currently no holdbacks (all parts are available) but the time from order to delivery is still shown as 16 to 18 weeks.

  5. Hi there..
I’ve ordered Jeep wrangler Unlimited Rubicon on March 30st, and the dealership told me that I have to wait minimum 4 months to get it! sometimes even up to a year! That’s sad, But I think that worth it… I live in Vancouver, Canada..
Can’t wait to get it soon..

  6. Hello All. Hope I am not posting on the wrong board – I am a newbie. We just bought our 07 Rescue Green Wrangler this past Sunday. We already love it. We are going to replace our 2004 with a 4 door unlimited this fall. Question: Our 2004 Sahara edition has tinted windows on the soft top. When I asked the dealer about tinted windows for the 07 soft top, he said nadda – not yet. Does anyone know if I can just replace the window panels ( not replace the entire top ) for tinted ones? The top is black so it shouldnt be a color issue if I can just find them. Would really like to get rid of these clear ones. We live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where its hot and sunny year round. The tint really makes a difference to us down here. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  7. allen, The unlimited doesn’t have tinted windows but the sahara does without a charge. i am pasting from jeep web site that deep tint windows are an included item for no extra charge on sahara. I have one and my windows are tinted. So,,,, if you want tinted windows consider a sahara rather than the unlimited.

    ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
    Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows $0.00
    Dual Top Group $1,585.00
    Engine Block Heater $35.00
Front and Rear Floor Mats $50.00
    Locking Fuel Filler Cap $15.00
    Smoker’s Group $30.00
Trac-Lok® Limited Slip Rear Differential $295.00
Electronic Front Sway Bar Disconnect $675.00
    Locker Rear Axle $650.00
    Spare Tire Cover $50.00
    Tubular Side Steps $0.00

    hope this helps

  8. 4Down, Thanks for the information. I guess I will just have to stay patient and keep daydreaming about driving the Jeep. How long after you placed your order did it take before your Jeep actually started to get made at the factory. Right now my dealer still only knows that it has not even been started in production.

4Down, Thanks for the information. I guess I will just have to stay patient and keep daydreaming about driving the Jeep. The dealer said it moved to D status March 16th and D1 on March 23rd. Prior to the 16th it sat in B status since November 2006 and the dealer didn’t bother telling me when it started to move to BX etc. just when it hit D in March. They are building roughly 600 a day. I haven’t read anything about how much of a backlog they may still have lately. If I find any info I will let you know.

  10. I ordered my Unlimited Rubi Rescue Green with hardtop and myGIG back in february.

was told it’d be around 8 week wait. right now we’re at about 11 weeks or so, which sounds like a short wait compared to some of you….dealer said last week that it has a VIN number and a delivery date of 11 April

so who knows, next two weeks, i should have it!

  11. Hey Kat….Thanks for the info but we’ve already purchased a 2 door X model that didnt have the tinted rear windows on the soft top. When we get our second one this fall, a 4 door, we will probably get the sahara – since we will be replacing a sahara. In the interim, does anyone know a cheap source to replace the back 3 windows on the X model that we just bought? Thanks again!

  12. Hello,to everyone out there. It will be this coming weekend in SO.Cal 4/14/07 that I will be ordering my JK Unlimited 4 door Rubicon with the freedom top. I do realalize by reading other articles that I am in for quite a wait, maybe 60 days this was also told to me by the dealership I plan on puchasing it from, is red just popular color or is this the norm. Another question to all you owners of the JK is the dash the only place to mount the GPS system? To me it makes more sense if it were placed where the Sirus radio would be placed in the dash. Is ther such an item as as a combination unit? At least I will have time to sell my 2003 TJ Sport. Thanks for the oppertunity and hope to see you all on the trail. Thanks, Stachio

  13. Well. I finally have it. Having been one of the have nots for so long, it feels strange to have it now. And I know I didn’t like reading about people who got theirs because I was jealous, but it truly is worth the wait. I love it. The Steel Blue is beautiful too. I’ve already had the hard top off and back on to take the soft-top out. No rain yet, but we’ll see what happens.

    Best of luck to everyone!

I’ll be lurking in the JK forums.

    Scott

  14. Finally moved to D status and have a VIN number. To any that already received their Unlimited do you know how long it to from D to delivery. I’m hoping they are catching up with the demand and getting them out the door a little faster. I may actually get to drive it for a while this summer!

  15. scott – CONGRATS!!!. Keep me posted about your aftermarket research for mygig type of unit. Hasn’t been bad to plug in the ipod or laptop but would like an all inclusive in the dash because I really want something that has voice command hands free phone (easier with my manual) and to clear away cords and more cords. Still really like that roof rack too so if you get one let me know what you think.

    kat

  16. I want to know if The_Superhoo got the jeep yet. I ordered a rescue green rubi with myGig about a week ago (Apr 1st.) I need it. I’m sure you all understand how much I need it.

  17. TimmyJ, I would like to know as well. I hope Jeep has caught up with the demand by now. I ordered my rubi with mygig in Dec. and had been in BG status well into March. I find it interesting that someone could order in Feb. and get a vin # and delivery date for April. Maybe they just have an awsome dealer. Keep us posted. Again, I hope Jeep is cranking them out now. If not don’t count on having it anytime soon. Good luck!

  18. Jay. Ordered in Dec eh? I’m in Winnipeg Canada and I’ve seen a few dealers have a Rubi Unlimited come in on the lot in the last few weeks. (Only stays on the lot for a day though.) My dealer told me it would be between 12 and 16 weeks from April 1st. But he also said that they were in heavy Rubi production cycle right now so it could be as soon as 6 weeks. Every time I think about it I need it more. I hope you get yours soon!

  19. Pick up my Green 4dr Sahara with the MyGIG system. Ordered it 3/6 and picked it 4/10. A whole month ahead of the quoted build time. I still speechless at the beauty of this Jeep. I still have not explored all the features, but have noticed the UConnect function is disabled. Has anyone heard if Jeep is going to enable the function on Wranglers. Does anyone know a work around. I was not expecting the inside noise to be quiet enough for taking phone calls, but this model is leaps and bounds quieter than my old 2000 Wrangler.

  20. I picked up my red rock sahara unlimited with MYGIG last week. I love it! I ordered it the second week in January. I have the freedom top, no soft top. Well, it was raining like crazy today in NY. I got into my car after work and the top of the MYGIG unit was wet, the shifter and under the emergency break lever were also wet. I had heard about this problem, but I thought Jeep had solved it. I will be bringing it to the service dept. Other than that (which I am so upset about) I absolutely love it!

  21. I bought a 2007 wrangler this month with a soft top and ordered a 3 piece freedom top. After the dealer installed the new top it makes so much noise in side (creaking noise). The dealer stated that it is normal and will quit. After getting on a ladder to look at the top roof it has a small gap on one side of the 3 piece. I am trying to find the installation manual but can’t locate one to find out more. Can you help?

    Bill

  22. I walked on to the dealer lot in Woodburn Oregon, drove off thelot 3 hours later with a 2007 wrangler. Put a 150 miles on it. Hurt my back and my wife has been driving it until I can drive again. It’s been a month and a half and I still can’t drive it. I feel sorry for all of you that had to or are still waiting for your new jeep to be in your drive way, but look at it this way. Having it in your drive way and not being able to drive it. Plus when I can drive, my wife may not give it back. LOL. So far we love it, the hard top doesn’t leak. As of yet it hasn’t seen any off roading. I have owned a 77 cj5, 85 cj7, 95 yj, 2000 tj and now this jk. I have to say, they have come along way. I loved driving it for the short time I got to drive it and my wife loves driving it too, ( and she should know , she is the only one driving it.) Anyway, so far no problems. DOES anyone know how big of tire will fit with out lifting or tires rubbing? Thank you in advance.. Rupedog

  23. NO LEAKS!

I just drove 90 miles in the nor’easter that’s currently pounding new england. First time driving in the rain. My hard top has been on and off 3 times prior to today.

Had a towel in the truck just in case. Nothing. Not one drop. I have been very diligent about putting it on carefully, but either way, I’m so glad it’s not leaking!

So far it’s been awesome. There’s a little wind noise around the front passenger door, but I don’t care that much. I’ll have them look at it when I do my first oil change.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Best,
    Scott

  24. I bought a new 4 door wrangler 2-16-07 with the freedom top and the soft top: within days it rained and I had more water inside the jeep than outside. The dealership replaced the hardtop- that one leaked. They removed the hardtop and put the soft top on – that leaked too! They finally found me another jeep of which I incurred additional expenses, and I am now having problems with the 2nd new wrangler…in 2 months I have made 4 jeep payments, spent money on 2 registrations and been in rental cars for a majority of the time. I wanted my money back and unfortunately looks like arbitration is my only option….more money now on legal fees!!!!!!!!!

  25. I am not a very happy person with Jeep Canada today. My dealer actually called and gave me the option of refunding my deposit on my order for a Rubicon Unlimited. DaimlerChrysler informed Canadian dealerships that there will only be 800 jeeps allocated for all of Canada. (What a joke) So my chances of getting my order placed on February 1, 2007 is not looking very good at all. Apparently since orders for 2007’s are stopping soon any 2007’s not built before the factory sets up for the 2008’s will have to be pushed ahead to a 2008 build. I can’t believe there is the possibility that my order could move till 2008. I really love Jeeps, but DaimlerChrysler are trying really hard to change my mind.

  26. I took delivery of my 07 red rubicon 2 dr about 2 months ago and love it but i was wondering if anyone has had an issue with the soft top in the rear where it mounts to the tailgate corners. there are 2 plastic blocks that the bottom of the rear window fit into and one of mine keeps pushing in leaving a gap where water can easily come in. i went to the dealer and the response was almost funny, “it’s a jeep, you have to expect stuff like that”! I called corporate and they told me they contacted the service manager that told me that and he said the top was fine. corporates advise to me was to go to another dealer. I am not used to crappy service like this. i was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue

  27. Yo,

Well, here I am still hanging out at page_id+26, for whatever that means.

Anyway, schpeener, just today I removed my hard top and installed the soft top and know exactly the pieces you are referencing. I do not anticipate any problems with with the top, but I’ve yet to drive it in wet weather conditions. I’ll let you know if I have any.

Still have had no problems with my Freedom Top, and it now hangs in my garage from a Lange Hoist a Top.

Last week, the Delaware River flooded (minor) near my house in Pennsylvania and I forded a flooded out road with somewhere between 24 and 30 inches of water. I remember finding varying specs on the water fording abilitys of the Rubicon and I have seen 20 inches in the manual and 30 inches online. However, in this case the water was at most at the sills on the doors. It appeared to be over the fog lights in the bumper when we were driving through it. I got to a flooded spot in the road and would not have gone first, because when floods happen, you just don’t know what lies underneath the water, but a couple of large pickups went through before me so I knew that a washout condition did not exist. I know the water was deep enough that I heard the fan when it hit the water. It made a unique sound. I was pleased as punch when we just powered through. I went slow and followed all of the fording rules. It was a blast!

There are pictures of the road I forded here:

    http://flickr.com/photos/7634987@N08/sets/72157600090935507/

No picts of me and the wife driving through the water, but that’s because it was dark.

Having dealt with putting on and taking off the hard top and now putting up the soft-top, I gotta say, this new Jeep is the ultimate contemporary update of the old school CJ. I’ve had 2 CJ-7’s and I gotta say, this truck is the bomb.

Kat, please send me another email, I lost your email address. scott@powerhum.com

Best to all and good luck to those of you having problems.

    Scott

  28. My order, Unlimited Rubi – Red Rock, has been in D status for 18 days and just got off the phone with Jeep. The Jeep rep. stated that a “roughly” it could go into production the first week of May. If so I may see it by June however I am not counting on that.

  29. scott, I don’t have any wind noise anywhere so I think the door must not be seated properly if you get noise. When you crossed the flood water did any water come in under doors or rear door or was it well sealed?

Wishing someone could help Ashley, this jeep is so wonderful it is a shame someone should be so unhappy and spending so much to fix a problem that has a work order.

Ashley, what does corporate say? Maybe if you work directly with them they can help more than the dealer has. Trust me, there are unlimiteds out there not having your problems.

  30. I took delivery of a 4 door Jeep Unlimited X in February. The only options I took were the upgrade wheels, both the freedom top and softtop, and some sidesteps. It ran perfectly until about 3,000 miles at which point the Throttle Position Sensor light started coming on, followed by the check engine light. The dealer had to have a new TPS overnighted from Detroit. It is a little bit annoying to find yourself broken down in a brand new vehicle, but hopefully this is the only problem the JK will give me.

The 3 piece roof hasn’t leaked yet despite all the snow and rain that N.E. has thrown at it, and despite the fact of having taken it off and put it back on several times.

Jeeps are jeeps. My ’98 Wrangler had a speedo and tach that would just turn on and off by themselves until they started working fulltime around 100K miles.

  31. Congrats to all who managed to get this amazing vehicle!! Mine FINALLY came in last week!! Black Unlimited Rubicon….I ordered it back in September and didn’t even know about the MYGIG but the rep said if I HAD changed my order to MYGIG it would’ve taken an extra month. This is because the MYGIG units did not come with mounting kits and most are just sitting there with no way to install them. Anyways, LOVE the Jeep…its my first. Putting a 2.5″ Terra lift and 35″ Krawlers on it next week….only wish they made a Krawler tire with larger rims but I understand it. One question to all of you: Is the rumor true that the Thornbird tires are a joke? I like the looks and am not a serious rock crawler yet but don’t want a useless tire. If the tire is good, let me know and I can get the rims I want.

  32. Well all,

I am back in the United States from Afganistan. For those who recall I bought my Rubicon Unlimited site unseen from Millitary car sales back in January. Jeep green half doors and a my gig. It has been built and sits it a “K” status waiting for shipment. they are saying that I should be able to pick it up from the dealership on the 29 of May. will see my dealer has not been advise so far ..Figures. Anyway I have been having a blast playing in the States anyway ..so its all good. I will let you guys know when I pick up my toy

  33. Well people i have had My 2007 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara since September 20th. I got it in The red rock crystal and it has been in the shop 5 times in the past 8 months due to the water leak problem. Its funney because at the dealership they say its not common. But after visiting this website for the first time and reading a little i guess i am not the only one with this issue.

Another problem i am dealing with is the ESP and ABS LIGHTS have been comming on and staying on.I went another 2 times to the dealer for this issue, and it still comes on for long periods of time. I just got it back on friday and I have to go back to the dealer again on monday.Im really gettin annoyed with the truck. Im not saying that the truck is bad.I love the way it drives and looks, but i didnt buy a new car to have it go back to the dealer for stupid issues all the time.

Finally if anybody plans to put a (AEM) air intake system on there 2007 Wrangler As i did. They Should know that with the added performance comes an annoying whistleing sound, that comes and goes at certain throttle possitions. Maybe this is only with my intake system. But i thought i would just tell of my experiences with the truck.

  34. Well, my 4dr Unlimited Rubicon went into BX status on April 27 – only 97 days after the initial order. And BX doesn’t even get you a build date. Needless to say, I have chosen to wait until August to order a 2008. With all of the problems you guys raise, I am hoping DC will make the necessary adjustments for the next year’s edition. Plus, maybe they will hear the rising chorus concerning Jeep’s miserable MPG ratings and actually build an engine that can reach 20 mpg. Just hope the old wreck I am currently driving can make it another 4 months.

  35. Waiting in LA – I feel your pain! Mine has been on order since December 20. I reached D status 27 days ago and have been there since. Quite frankly I can not believe this! While other manufacturers are getting ready to release their 2008 models Jeep can’t even get their 2007s out the door. With such a back log I would be very surprised if Jeep actually releases the 2008 model year in August. Guess we will see. While I still look forward to getting the Unlimited I must say that this has by far been the worst car buying experience I have ever had. My wife is on her third Grand Cherokee but when it’s time to look for her I’ll be shopping the competition.

  36. Been awhile since I checked forum. I think all in all everyone will enjoy the JK. Word to the wise any new 4 wheelers that get in to it, should accually read owners manual. For instance it says to check vehicle after every significant outting. I found swaybar had loosened up some. We don’t have disconects. Also has anyone found that after vehicle has set all day in sun it tends to crank excesively when you first start it. anyway minor issues with it. just rolled over 9000 miles. 🙂 :} P.S. comments on rock krawler 4″ lift?

  37. i have had my unlimited for about two months now and still love it.I have had no problems whatsoever with anything. This is my first jeep.I have put more miles on this vehicle in two months thatn i did in six months when i had my dakota. One question though, will my gas mileage improve any?
    thanks

  38. I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4dr hard top. I am wondering if anyone is having the same problems I am.
When I am driving down the road, approximately 35 mph, my engine shuts the vehicle off. I loose power everything. i coast for approximately 7 seconds and it automatically comes back on. I called the Jeep shop, and they said one other person from my city has called the same problem in and they hooked it up to the machine and found nothing. This has happened to me 4 times. I have had my jeep for about 4 months. I absolutely love it. I just want to know why it is shutting off. I don’t want to have a wreck.
Thank you if you have a solution…….

  39. I’ve been reading this forum since I found it in Feb 07 and I have learned alot. Thanks again to those who have posted. I ordered my Red Rubicon 4 dr 3/7 with MyGig and the hardtop. It is in D status and from the information that my dealer has , it might not be here until July. Therefore, I could not wait any longer, I tracked down the closest Rubicon to the one I ordered and bought one yesterday. It doesn’t have the freedom hardtop or MyGig, but it has everything else. I can’t wait to get the Mods started. I have planned the Rubicon Express 4.5 inch longarm lift
Walker Evans 17×8.5 beadlocks,37″ tires, Fabfour front bumper and a Jeeperman rear bumper with winches front and rear, and Shrock works sliders to start with. My question is what mods will I need to do to help power the extra weight and larger tires? Does the 3.8 v6 do the job with Mods or am I going to be disappointed and want to swap engines like Burnsville offroad is doing ie) 6.1 Hemi or the 3.1 Diesel. I currently have a duramax diesel w/ allison trans and love it in my GMC truck. Thanks for any information. Concerned that the JK will have the power needed to be an all around vehicle, offroad as well as highway driving?

  40. Ronya; auto or manual? Did you look at all the TSB’s that deal with engine, transmission, stabalizer on the right side of menu to this page? Seems that some of the computer reprogramming TSB or recalls could apply.

  41. I happened upon this forum while researching the 4dr wrangler unlimited. I was very concerned about the problems people were having. For some reason it didn’t stop me from going and test driving one last friday night. Afterdriving one around for about 20 minutes, I was impressed. As impressed as I was, I still needed to think about it. On monday of this week I decided to go test drive them again, and I was still impressed. So as my story goes, I woke up this morning and there just happened to be one in my driveway. Damn the pressure. So far so good. Of course it has only been one full day. The majority of the people at my work came in this morning and said who bought the new jeep? When I said me, they all said I want one so bad. Of course I didnt gloat. Out of about 30 employees, I think 7 drove it, and loved it. Anyway I am glad to be back in the jeep family again. I missed all the other jeep peeps waving when they passed by me.

p.s. I went with the soft top considering all of the “leak” problems with the hard top.

  42. Hi everyone,
I’m currently serving in Iraq and ordered a JK when I came home for mid tour leave in APR. After stumbling across this site, I decided to have my wife check on the status of my Jeep. I guess you can add me to the list of those not getting their Jeep when they expected. The dealer told my wife DC was not accepting orders for 07s when we placed my order. You think they would have told us that at the time. I guess they weren’t planning on letting us know either since the way we found out was by calling the dealer. The dealer told my wife they would begin accepting orders for 08s during the 2nd week of JUN & my order would be submitted then. Hopefully the 08s have the same options I wanted on the 07. We’ll see what happens.

  43. Still BX status and now seeing more and more Rubicons on dealer lots. So much for the lie my dealer told me that I would get my Jeep prior to those placed in dealer inventories.

As to the poster complaining of an engine cutting off mid-drive…I’m not sure if this is a Jeep issue, but on another old car of mine, I had the same problem. The issue was that my ignition wire had come loose from its bracket and was grounding out on the block. Check for loose wires before wasting money at the dealer.

  44. Hi everyone, my name is Rikki and I live in Australia, Queensland and I am actually after a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They are my most favourite cars and have been after one for quite sometime! I would like to order one, so I could show it off to my friends at school — I just want to see their faces! Do you any close dealers I can phone to place my order for a JK Unlimited (Auzzie) Wrangler?
If so, write to me at
    Po Box 1171
    Mareeba 4880
    Australia

  45. For those of you waiting. I ordered my Unlimited Rubicon back in December and just took delivery last Thursday. So far love it! One thing I learned is that the dealers really have no control nor can accurately predict delivery. I would be skeptical of any dates they provide until it hits their lot. Once you order sit back and enjoy the ride. I was in BX forever and in D for over a month. Once it hit D1 status things seemed to move along. I cancled the Mygig about half way through the order (still in BX status)and do think that helped. Still assessing if I’ll add it later. Good luck.

  46. Well, I work And Make The Wrangler You Guys Love I have Owned A 97 TJ 4cyl and a 05 Rubicon Ether One Was my baby! I loved the Rubicon Better ha. But To tell some Of you the Problem with the Leaky Top Still hasnt Been Fixed Just Last Night I was Putting On the T tops yes 300 in one night.there is a big fight going on between DC and who ever makes the hard top about the leek problem. I made the Sugestion to eliminate some of the sorce of the Problem by making it a 1 pice targa top rather the 2 pice.

But im in the Market for a new one going to get a Yellow 2dr Rubicon with Navi(wich is worth the price i play with it all the time) half doors with a sunrider top.

To worn some of you with regular 2dr soft top dont pull down hard to put the rear ot the top on the body!

  47. let me Try that one more time People With the 2dr soft non sunrider, Dont pull down the rear of the top to much than have to the nylon strap (that holds the middle bow to the Back bow) might break on the Driver side Best top was making the strap not long enough, and for a wile was blaming it on the people putting it on I.E. Me and some other workers But the Problem now has been fixed

I love Jeeps And My Job so Ask any thing

  48. My dealer just called me and he said my Unlimited Rubi with myGIG is built and waiting for a rail car. So he said I should have it in maximum 2 weeks. I ordered on Mar 30 and they told me it should be here by July. So they were right I guess.

Anyway, has anyone ever had problems with rocks chipping the paint off the bottom hinges of the back doors? I’ve seen it happen on my friend’s jeep. What’s the deal? Do you need running boards to stop this?

  49. I ordered a Sahara with electronic disconnect and rear lockers. Just got it today without either of those options. Nobody told me or the dealer they wouldn’t be on it. Has anybody received a Sahara with those options?
